The Humor in the Hustle

You can tell a lot about a person by how they handle a marketing emergency at 4:59 PM on a Friday.

Me? I laugh first. Then I fix it faster than anyone thought possible.

Because let’s be honest, there’s always something.

A client who swears they emailed you “the final-final” version two revisions ago.

If you work in commercial real estate or marketing, you already know: the hustle is real, the timeline is never long enough, and the Wi-Fi will go out five minutes before your pitch deck is due.

But here’s what I’ve learned: if you can’t laugh about it, you’ll lose your mind.

Humor keeps the burnout away. It reminds you that even when the stakes feel sky-high, the sun will rise, the deal will close, and your client will still text you next week asking to “just tweak one more thing.”

I take my work seriously,

but not myself.

Because joy is part of the job description, at least at The Co-Mission.

So if you see me laughing in the middle of a deadline, just know that’s not chaos.

That’s confidence.

I’ve done this dance enough times to know the ending, and spoiler alert:

It’s going to look amazing.
