In the article, I spoke about how I’m integrating AI into my work as a broker and developer, but always through a relationship-first lens. For me, using LLM’s (Chat GPT, Grok, etc.) is more about gaining perspective from a “partner” viewpoint vs using these tools for assitant type tasks. It’s about showing up more informed, more prepared, and more present for my clients.
When I begin a new project, I use ChatGPT to dive into the client’s industry and business model so I can walk into that first meeting already fluent in their challenges, opportunities, and growth drivers. That preparation allows me to build rapport faster and to frame smarter strategies right from the start.
On my development project, Technique Offices, I was able to upload a 30MB architectural file to generate a targeted list of likely buyers for the building – complete with names and contact information. That report gave me 20 strong prospects in minutes, saving many hours of research.
But here’s the real takeaway: these tools aren’t just about efficiency. Used with intention, they allow us to blend insight and heart to combine data-driven precision with the human connection that makes this business meaningful.
No transaction or development deal is perfect, there’s a ton of nuance and gray area, Chat GPT is not perfect. But that’s exactly where the magic happens. If you can articulate a problem by writing it in the chat, you are 50% closer to a solution. Don’t wait for a roadmap. Just start. Feed AI your most complex, messy, human problems with all the nuance, emotion, and competing priorities included and see what comes back. You may be surprised at how much clarity, confidence, and creativity you gain from simply sharing the burden and getting a fresh PERSPECTIVE.
